ntop is a network performance monitoring tool that provides performance analysis for network traffic utilisation. It collects network performance data over time and provides features such as real-time and historical network traffic and active hosts, long-term reports for several network metrics including throughput and application protocols, live throughput reports, network and application latencies, Round Trip Time (RTT), TCP statistics, and more. Ntopng Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) technology can also be used to discover application protocols.
